CNA’s are a stepping stone for many pursuing a nursing career.

CNA’s provide direct care to their patients and/or residents.

Training to become a CNA takes around 12-16 weeks

CNA’s are in very high demand.

becoming a CNA:

Most CNA’s will pursue a career as an Registered Nurse (RN) or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

An LPN: works underneath an RN. LPN can administer medications and change sterile dressings.

LPN’s can get their license in one year.  LPN programs are offered in technical schools and community colleges

It takes two years to become a registered nurse (ADN) or four years with a bachelor's degree (BSN).

Must take the National council licensure examination-Registered Nurse (NCLEX-RN).
