Frequently Asked Questions

What is the internship schedule?

Students must be able to work a minimum of 8 hours/week during regular business hours (M-F, 9 AM-5 PM). This internship is a good fit for students with a flexible schedule, for example, students who have a free class period or for students who attend schools with work-based learning time.

What is the internship like?

Students will receive training prior to starting their internship on topics like e-mail and phone etiquette, networking, professionalism etc. After this students will intern in a department or program where they will work on projects with their mentor(s)/preceptor(s). We will also go on a field-trip.

What is the application process and timeline?
Applications will be open from August 1-August 23, 2019. Extensions are rarely granted and all files must be received before the deadline. Beginning in mid August, we will send out notices and scheduling for interviews if you are chosen. Final notices for acceptance into internships are sent out in late-August. Please continue to check your emails regularly as to not miss any deadlines.

What documents will I need to apply?
You will need to submit your resume and short response as to why you are interested in this internship. No Cover Letter is needed ; you can disregard this in the application!
